The Role: Investigative Analyst

CRI Group is seeking an Investigative Analyst to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The Investigative Analyst conducts various analyses and investigative research services, including extensive public record research. The role involves completing all-source research, gathering pertinent data, reviewing intelligence gaps, preparing records and files, and fulfilling associated investigation and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather intelligence information through field observation, confidential sources, or public records.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with government agencies that provide public information.
  • Collect, assimilate, analyse, and evaluate the results of research and investigations.
  • Identify red flags in reports such as court cases, politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions lists, adverse media, inflated job titles, incorrect employment periods, and forged qualifications.
  • Write well-structured, logical, and objective reports regarding assessments on the status, legitimacy, general background, and overall reputation of a company and its principals, or subject individuals.
  • Manage multiple due diligence, background screening, and insurance claim investigation cases through completion.
  • Track progress and ensure the timely completion of cases.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality written reports.
  • Ensure necessary follow-up actions to external stakeholders.
  • Assist in document management that supports the analyses performed.
  • Coordinate with international team members and vendors to complete required scopes of work.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment and be driven by professional excellence and a commitment to the organisation’s vision.
  • Follow current and prospective ISO standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Carry out other tasks and assignments according to the needs and requirements of the company and work.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree majoring in Media, Journalism, Law, International Relations/Affairs, or other related areas of study.
  • Prior work experience in due diligence, research, legal, investigations, or risk management fields is preferred.
  • Must be eligible to visit court and policy authorities to conduct research.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug testing and background investigation.

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn processes for:
    • Education Verification
    • Professional Affiliation Verification
    • Pre-Employment History (10 Years)
    • International Credit Search
    • International Criminal Checks (per jurisdiction)
