The Role of Associate, M&A, Global Advisory

Rothschild & Co is seeking an Associate for Investment Banking, focusing on M&A within Global Advisory, to be based in Riyadh. This full-time role involves providing informed and impartial perspectives to clients, assisting them in achieving their goals through strategic M&A and financing solutions. The firm advises large and mid-sized corporations, private equity firms, families, entrepreneurs, governments, and sovereign wealth funds, acting as a trusted partner with a long-term, independent view.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple transactions and project teams simultaneously, covering all critical aspects from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution.
• Develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models.
• Utilize various valuation techniques, including discounted cash flows, trading comparables analysis, transaction comparables analysis, and LBO-based valuations, to support client advice.
• Coordinate and support teams in preparing marketing and transaction documentation, such as client presentations, information memoranda, and offering documents.
• Engage in Equity Capital Markets transactions, including IPOs.
• Identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co and generate new ideas for clients to advance their strategic objectives.
• Coordinate and support the project team in managing all aspects of transactions, both internally and in collaboration with other advisers.
• Research relevant industries to support the team’s transaction initiatives, optimizing various information sources.
• Supervise junior team members.

Regional Operations

The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a market experiencing significant growth and untapped potential. Rothschild & Co established its Riyadh office over two years ago and now has over 10 investment bankers, with plans for continued expansion. While based in Riyadh, the business operates as a unified Middle Eastern platform, requiring collaboration on mandates with both the Riyadh and Dubai offices.
