The National Parcel Stations Network is seeking an IT Security Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position is an opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure and applications.

The Role of IT Security Engineer

The IT Security Engineer supports the implementation of security standards, monitoring activities, and basic compliance requirements to protect IT systems, applications, and data. This role is suitable for a fresh graduate with 0-1 years of experience, offering a foundational learning experience under the guidance of senior IT team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing IT security standards and internal security policies.
  • Support compliance activities related to Saudi cybersecurity regulations and internal requirements, including maintaining security documentation, checklists, and basic audit evidence.
  • Monitor security alerts, escalate suspicious activities, and assist in vulnerability scanning and remediation follow-up.
  • Support patching and corrective actions by tracking findings and sharing updates, and maintain security incident logs.
  • Secure all application and infrastructure layers, including web, backend, APIs, databases, and client applications.
  • Perform basic code security scanning before deployments and report identified risks.
  • Implement access control, authentication, encryption, and secure configurations.
  • Develop security guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documentation.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise security awareness among internal users and technical teams.

Collaboration and Reporting Structure

The IT Security Engineer reports to the IT Infrastructure Lead or IT Manager. This role involves close internal collaboration with DevOps Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, QA, Development Teams, and IT Support to ensure secure architecture and operations. Externally, the engineer will communicate with regulators and auditors for compliance reporting, liaise with external vendors for security assessments and penetration tests, and escalate critical security risks to IT leadership and management.
