IT Technician / Field Support Technician

About the Role

OVEEQ TECHNOLOGIES is seeking an experienced IT Technician / Field Support Technician to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves performing IT installations, structured cabling, maintenance, and technical support at various customer locations. The technician will manage routine field work independently and provide support to IT Engineers on larger infrastructure projects. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and offers a salary range of SAR 1,875 - SAR 3,750.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure desktops, laptops, Windows operating systems, and business applications.
• Install and troubleshoot printers and other office peripherals.
• Diagnose common hardware, software, LAN, and Wi-Fi issues.
• Install network switches, access points, and related networking equipment.
• Perform structured cabling and comprehensive network installations.
• Execute RJ45, patch-panel, and keystone terminations.
• Install and organize network racks and cabinets, ensuring professional cable management.
• Test, label, and troubleshoot network cabling to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist IT Engineers with server, firewall, and other infrastructure projects.
• Provide first-line technical support to customers.
• Replace and upgrade computer and network hardware components.
• Escalate advanced technical issues to the IT Engineer for resolution.
• Complete detailed service and installation reports following each site visit.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician or Field Support Technician.
• Previous experience with a system integrator or IT solution provider is preferred.
• Demonstrated practical knowledge of computer hardware, networking principles, and structured cabling.
• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar are considered advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English are required, with proficiency in Arabic highly preferred.
• A Saudi driving license is preferred.
• Possession of a transferable Iqama is preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites throughout Riyadh.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and involves frequent travel to customer locations. The position is full-time, requiring active engagement in field support and installation tasks.
