Jira Senior Consultant

About the Role

TestCrew | Quality Engineering & Software Testing is seeking an experienced Senior Jira Consultant to lead the delivery of enterprise Jira and Atlassian solutions. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involves providing technical consulting to customers and supporting the development of the Jira consulting team. The role reports to the Head of Implementation and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern enterprise Jira and Atlassian solutions based on customer requirements.
• Provide expert consulting on Jira architecture, configuration, workflows, permissions, schemes, fields, hierarchies, JQL, dashboards, and reporting.
• Design and implement Jira automation, REST API, and webhook integrations, including integrations with ERP, time-tracking, and reporting platforms.
• Review technical solutions and deliverables to ensure quality, scalability, maintainability, and alignment with customer requirements.
• Lead technical delivery across Jira implementation, configuration, customization, integration, migration, and support engagements.
• Develop and maintain project WBS, estimates, task ownership, dependencies, milestones, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor project progress, risks, capacity, and delivery timelines, proactively addressing issues.
• Support resource and capacity planning across project delivery, support, presales, leave, and team development activities.
• Monitor team utilization and planned versus actual effort, addressing capacity gaps or overload.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to Jira consultants and team members.
• Support capability development by assessing skills, identifying development needs, and promoting independent technical delivery.
• Ensure delivery continuity through effective backup planning, knowledge transfer, handovers, and resource coverage.
• Provide management with regular status reports and escalate critical issues with clear impact assessments, recommended actions, and contingency plans.
• Support Atlassian pre-sales activities, including customer discovery, solution scoping, technical presentations, estimates, proposals, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
• Participate in customer meetings and translate business requirements into practical, scalable Jira/Atlassian solutions.
• Support smooth presales-to-delivery handovers, ensuring requirements, scope, estimates, and technical decisions are clearly documented.
• Maintain Jira/Atlassian demo environments, technical scenarios, and presentation materials for customer engagements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in Jira, Atlassian solutions, software delivery, consulting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of substantial hands-on Jira experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership, consulting leadership, or team management experience.
• Strong expertise in Jira administration, solution architecture, implementation, automation, and integrations.
• Experience delivering enterprise Jira/Atlassian consulting and implementation projects.
• Experience with project planning, resource/capacity planning, utilization, and delivery management.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, including discovery, solution scoping, estimation, proposals, demonstrations, and PoCs.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, ownership, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian certifications.
• Experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud.
• Experience with enterprise Atlassian migrations, integrations, or complex Jira environments.
• Previous experience in an Atlassian consulting, implementation, or professional services organization.
