About the Role
Howden is seeking a Junior Broker Support professional to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position designed for individuals looking to establish a career within the reinsurance industry. The role involves providing essential support to brokers in various aspects of reinsurance business placement.
Role Context and Development
This opportunity is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. No prior insurance or reinsurance experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to equip the successful candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills. The role operates within a dynamic environment, offering a foundation for career growth in reinsurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Brokers in the placement of Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance business for clients.
- Serve as a primary contact between Clients and Reinsurers, addressing queries and facilitating the processing of premium debit notes and claim settlement requests.
- Prepare treaty renewal submissions in collaboration with Brokers and Account Executives.
- Draft and finalize contractual wordings with Clients and Reinsurers under the guidance of Brokers and Account Executives.
- Prepare contract endorsements and addendums as required.
- Accurately record renewal information, key placement dates, and expected revenues within company tracking systems.
- Maintain complete and organized placement files, ensuring all relevant documents and correspondence are filed for audit and compliance.
- Upload risk information into company systems and generate Evidence of Cover documentation.
- Assist with the onboarding of Clients and Reinsurers in coordination with the Head of Compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the placement process.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with Clients, Reinsurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to review and support complex reinsurance transactions.
- Support additional projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- 0-1 years of professional experience.
- No prior insurance or reinsurance experience is required.
