Kitchen Supervisor

About the Role

Apparel Group is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time operational role involves supervising team member activities during shifts to ensure adherence to standards related to personnel, product quality, store cleanliness, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example, demonstrating respect for team members and guests, and address immediate issues during shifts.
• Provide ongoing direction to team members, foster a positive work environment, and motivate them to achieve goals.
• Train, orient, and monitor new team members, reporting performance to the Store Manager.
• Ensure optimal team member coverage and work various positions during busy periods to maintain service levels.
• Reinforce positive hospitality behaviors, respond to guests in a friendly and urgent manner, and resolve service complaints effectively.
• Comply with and enforce all operating standards, ensuring proper merchandising and stocking of products and packaging.
• Manage shift cash procedures and maintain operational efficiency using the work schedule.
• Supervise team members to ensure completion of primary and secondary duties, and enforce all store policies (*, cash, meal breaks, food safety).
• Stay informed on new product launches, promotions, and discount schemes.
• Assist the Store Manager in driving sales and transactions during shifts.
• Complete all required shift documentation, such as waste records, manager walk-throughs, and store checklists.
• Escalate any issues or problems to the immediate superior.

Health and Safety Compliance

• Understand and follow safe work practices and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Report all injuries, illnesses, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and any contravention of health and safety legislation to the Store Manager or Area Manager.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed during the shift, including documentation and reporting of work-related incidents.

Cashiering and Equipment Supervision

• Supervise and ensure that technical equipment in stores is in working condition.
• Count cash in the till at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and adequate change.
• Process payments via cash, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits as required.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers accurately.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience for this role.
