Lead Engineer Risk Management

About the Role

Ma’aden is seeking a Lead Engineer, Risk Management, to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on leading and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of enterprise-wide risk management practices for capital and major projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of project risks. This supports effective decision-making processes and contributes to improving project certainty and resilience across Ma’aden's capital and major projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools for capital and major projects throughout the organization.
• Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop and maintain risk registers, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely updates of qualitative and quantitative risk data.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations, to evaluate schedule and cost impacts.
• Support the integration of risk data into overall project control and performance reporting processes.
• Track risk response actions and mitigation plans to ensure timely implementation and effectiveness.
• Develop and prepare risk reports and dashboards for governance reviews, leadership reporting, and audits.
• Collaborate with project managers, planners, cost controllers, and other stakeholders to embed risk awareness and practices into daily project execution.
• Ensure alignment of project risk practices with corporate risk management policies and frameworks.
• Contribute to lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in project risk practices.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to project teams and junior risk analysts on risk tools and techniques.

Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience in risk management, preferably within capital or major projects.
• Demonstrated ability to implement risk management frameworks and methodologies.
• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques, including Monte Carlo simulations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Lead Engineer will work within the PMO, collaborating with various project teams and stakeholders across Ma’aden.
