About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Lead Field Engineer - Structural to join its Construction Supervision team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on a major landmark development project. The role requires an individual with over 10 years of experience in structural engineering and construction supervision.

Project Context

The project encompasses the design, enabling, and main works for a large-scale destination development. This includes iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and supporting infrastructure. As the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC), Parsons is responsible for independent, end-to-end supervision and management to ensure all works are completed, integrated, tested, commissioned, and handed over in alignment with stringent program, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all structural construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Manage and provide technical direction to a team of structural inspectors and field engineers.
• Conduct regular inspections of structural works, including foundations, concrete structures, steel structures, retaining walls, and temporary works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve structural and construction-related issues.
• Review and evaluate structural shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and inspection requests.
• Verify that all structural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks, delays, and constructability challenges.
• Review contractor work plans and ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones.
• Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures for all structural works.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformance reports, site instructions, and progress reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities where applicable.
• Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in achieving successful project delivery objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering and construction supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise structural construction activities effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural works, including foundations, concrete, steel, and temporary structures.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical documents such as shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
• Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and project specifications.

Work Environment

This role is site-based within the Construction Supervision team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It operates as a full-time position, contributing to a significant landmark development project.
