About the Role

Mace is seeking a Lead Landscape professional to join its team in Riyadh. Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy services to unlock potential in projects and redefine ambition. The company is providing strategic project management consultancy for major new build stadiums, stadium redevelopments, and precinct transformations in Riyadh. This role is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience.

Role Context

This role is integral to the delivery of new stadiums, increasing existing stadium capacity, developing major mixed-use amenities, and ensuring robust knowledge transfer for operational excellence and long-term sustainability beyond construction. The Lead Landscape will be responsible for overseeing landscape elements within these large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert input during design reviews, value engineering sessions, and constructability assessments for stadium-specific landscape elements.
• Develop innovative outdoor spatial concepts that align with client goals, budget constraints, and visual aspirations, translating stakeholder vision into actionable design strategies.
• Integrate landscape planning with operational needs, ensuring effective crowd flow, security, universal accessibility (ADA compliance), and event-day functionality.
• Lead comprehensive design management, overseeing schedules, interdisciplinary coordination, and budget control throughout all project phases.
• Supervise design execution, specifying materials, vegetation, and structural components while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and construction standards.
• Align landscape documentation with EPMO governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder engagement protocols for seamless project delivery.
• Maintain proactive client engagement, facilitating communication, gathering feedback, and resolving challenges throughout the design process.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive integration between landscape and architectural systems, validating final deliverables through rigorous quality assurance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Meet necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Possess relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, required for immigration and client approval.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture.
• Have over 20 years of experience in Programme, Project, or Design Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in landscape architecture.
• Present a strong portfolio of stadium, sports, or large public venue projects.
• Hold professional accreditation in landscape or related disciplines.
