About the Opportunity

Global Recruitz is actively seeking a Lead Manager Underwriting for a prominent insurance firm operating across the Middle East and GCC countries. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations.

Role Purpose

The Lead Manager Underwriting will be responsible for leading end-to-end underwriting operations for Property, Engineering, and Casualty lines of business. This role involves managing a team of professionals and driving profitable growth and retention within large corporate accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end underwriting operations specifically for Property, Engineering, and Casualty insurance.
• Manage and mentor a team of over 10 underwriting professionals.
• Drive profitable growth, client retention, and secure large corporate accounts.
• Build and manage strong relationships with clients, brokers, and global reinsurance partners in markets such as London, DIFC, and Singapore.
• Underwrite complex risks, negotiate major deals, and arrange facultative reinsurance.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, conduct audits, and uphold governance standards.
• Coordinate effectively with claims, reinsurance, actuarial, finance, legal, and compliance teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of underwriting experience, with a primary focus on Property and Engineering.
• At least 10 years in a leadership role, demonstrating a proven track record of portfolio profitability.
• Experience within the GCC region is preferred.
• An Engineering graduate background is preferred.
