About Parsons and the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing mechanical matters within judicial branch facilities, including the development of policies, standards, inspection procedures, and evaluation tools. The role requires coordination of activities such as plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering to ensure compliance with project requirements and statutory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of mechanical systems for projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Manage all mechanical aspects of projects from initial concept through completion, encompassing budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with various disciplines and stakeholders.
• Provide expert technical guidance in mechanical systems design, installation, and operation, addressing complex engineering challenges effectively.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of mechanical designs and installations through comprehensive reviews, inspections, and rigorous testing protocols.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering their professional development and maintaining high performance standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, verifying compliance with specifications and project schedules.
• Identify potential project risks and formulate mitigation strategies to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget project delivery.
• Serve as the primary client contact for mechanical systems, addressing concerns and offering technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing mechanical systems design, installation, and operation.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering, implementing innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles is preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including design principles, installation methods, and operational requirements.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards governing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international requirements.
• Strong project management abilities to oversee mechanical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to MEP systems, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
