About the Opportunity

Silk Road Gold Exploration is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for supporting the company’s operations and expansion within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of relevant experience to provide essential legal guidance and ensure compliance.

Role Purpose

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for delivering comprehensive legal advice across various aspects of the company's business. This includes corporate, commercial, regulatory, licensing, employment, and general operational matters. A primary objective of this role is to ensure that all company activities strictly adhere to applicable Saudi laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise management on Saudi corporate, commercial, regulatory, labour, and administrative laws.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, corporate documents, legal correspondence, and internal policies.
  • Support company formation, licensing, permits, registrations, and interactions with governmental and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company’s activities.
  • Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisers, government authorities, business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Support corporate governance, compliance, and internal approval processes.
  • Provide legal assistance in relation to disputes, claims, and regulatory matters when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised university.
  • At least two years of relevant professional legal experience.
  • Strong and practical knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws, regulations, governmental procedures, and regulatory practices.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent command of Arabic and English, with strong legal drafting, communication, and negotiation skills in both languages.
  • Ability to independently review and prepare legal and corporate documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills, professional judgement, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Compensation

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from SAR 11,250 to SAR 15,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
