Life Guard

About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining the recreation facility, requiring 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Clean the pool deck, including washing and mopping.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with colleagues and guests using clear and professional language.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
