Lifting Supervisor

Position Summary

UCC Holding is seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to manage and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations for large-scale building construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, specifically within high-rise building construction and tower crane operations.

Role Overview

The Lifting Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all lifting activities on site. This includes planning daily operations, coordinating with various teams, and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. The role is critical for managing complex lifting tasks inherent in high-rise construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging activities on site.
• Plan and control daily lifting operations in coordination with the lifting team and construction management.
• Ensure lifting activities comply with approved lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Oversee tower crane lifting operations, including material handling across different building levels.
• Coordinate effectively with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and site engineers.
• Inspect all lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear prior to use.
• Ensure proper slinging, signaling, securing, and handling of loads.
• Monitor compliance with established lifting procedures and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate lifting activities with other ongoing construction operations.
• Immediately stop unsafe lifting operations and report any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting equipment inspections and lifting activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks and provide guidance to rigging and lifting teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Mandatory experience in high-rise building construction.
• Mandatory tower crane experience.
• Proven experience on large-scale building, hospitality, high-rise, or mega construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting plans, rigging practices, lifting accessories, and load handling.
• Good understanding of construction site safety requirements and lifting regulations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on large-scale construction sites. The position is full-time and requires active supervision of on-site lifting and rigging activities.
