The Role of a Low Current Engineer

A Low Current Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle of low-current systems in commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This includes the design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of these systems. The engineer ensures that all systems adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Design and develop low-current systems according to project requirements. Prepare system layouts, schematics, and shop drawings. Review project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical documents. Select appropriate equipment and materials based on project needs and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Installation & Implementation: Supervise the installation and integration of low-current systems. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines. Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion. Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• Testing & Commissioning: Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Verify system functionality and performance. Prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation. Provide technical support during system startup and operation.
