The Role: Manager - Senior Manager – AI & Data

Deloitte is seeking a Manager - Senior Manager – AI & Data to join its full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading the design and delivery of complex AI and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for clients across both public and private sectors. The position is techno-functional, requiring strong hands-on capability in solution architecture, AI product design, and end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, from problem framing through production deployment and value realization. The successful candidate will be accountable for solution quality, technical design decisions, and delivery outcomes, extending beyond advisory and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution design for AI and GenAI applications, including LLM-based applications (*, copilots, document intelligence, chatbots), predictive and prescriptive analytics, and recommendation/personalization engines.
• Translate business problems into deployable AI solution architecture, covering data ingestion and preparation, model selection and evaluation, application integration and APIs, and security, scalability, and performance considerations.
• Define and own AI product roadmaps for client engagements, including use case prioritization, MVP definition and iteration, and success metrics/adoption measures.
• Guide teams on build vs. buy vs. partner decisions for models, platforms, and accelerators, ensuring AI solutions are designed for real-world production use.
• Lead the full AI project lifecycle, from discovery and feasibility to data readiness assessment, model development and validation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Establish practical delivery patterns for model lifecycle management, testing and quality assurance, and operational monitoring and retraining.
• Collaborate with client technology teams to enable handover and long-term operability, guiding teams for change management and flagging risks and dependencies early.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders to explain trade-offs, risks, and design decisions in business terms, acting as the senior technical authority on AI engagements.
• Review and sign off on solution designs and delivery outputs.
• Architect and solution problem statements on cloud platforms, primarily Azure (Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML), and where client context requires, AWS (Sagemaker, Bedrock) or GCP (Vertex AI).
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards, applying data sovereignty constraints applicable in the Middle East when proposing solution architecture.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in AI and data.
• Demonstrated strong hands-on capability in solution architecture, AI product design, and end-to-end AI initiative delivery.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML), AWS (Sagemaker, Bedrock), and GCP (Vertex AI).
• Ability to translate business problems into deployable AI solution architecture.
• Experience in defining and owning AI product roadmaps and guiding teams on technology decisions.
• (Desirable but not mandatory) Experience mentoring technical teams including data scientists, ML engineers, and architects.
