About the Opportunity

MCG Talent is supporting a leading global advisory firm in its search for a Managing Director, Strategic Communications. This full-time senior leadership position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on leading and expanding the firm's strategic and government communications offering across the region.

Role Overview

The Managing Director will serve as a commercially driven, hands-on leader responsible for advising CEOs, ministers, and senior policymakers on complex narratives and high-stakes situations. This role is central to driving business growth and market expansion within key regional markets, requiring a leader with significant gravitas and strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand strategic and government communications mandates across the region.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, ministers, and senior government stakeholders.
  • Provide counsel on reputation management, public affairs, policy communications, and crisis situations.
  • Drive new business development, contributing directly to revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across multiple markets.
  • Develop integrated communication strategies aligned with political, regulatory, and economic landscapes.
  • Stay informed on regional geopolitical dynamics and translate them into actionable client strategies.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Senior communications leader with over 10 years of extensive experience in strategic communications and/or government advisory.
  • Proven track record operating across the Middle East or comparable international markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders at CEO, Board, and Ministerial levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on leadership style, capable of maintaining strategic oversight while actively engaging in execution.
  • Experienced team leader with a focus on talent development and culture building.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and crisis handling skills.

Work Setting
