The Role: Marketplace App UI/UX Designer

B8ak is seeking a full-time Marketplace App UI/UX Designer with 2-5 years of experience to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a focus on Al Khobar. This is a hands-on design role that involves direct collaboration with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Operations teams. The designer will own the end-to-end experience for both customer and service-provider sides of the marketplace, focusing on conversion and repeat-booking data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design flows, screens, and components for the B8ak customer app, service-provider app, and web platform, from initial sketches to production-ready specifications.
• Manage the booking funnel, including service selection, scheduling, address and basket management, and checkout, with a focus on reducing drop-off rates.
• Optimize the booking funnel to improve page-to-page conversion.
• Enhance the first-time-to-repeat experience, covering onboarding, post-service follow-up, rebooking, and loyalty features.
• Design for the provider side, including job acceptance, scheduling, navigation, earnings, and ratings.
• Build and maintain the design system across Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR), iOS, Android, and web platforms.
• Conduct usability sessions with Saudi customers and service professionals, translating insights into design changes.
• Collaborate with the Growth team on A/B tests for elements such as basket size, pricing presentation, and lifecycle messaging.
• Work with engineers throughout implementation and QA to ensure design fidelity in the shipped product.
• Demonstrate a full understanding of agile development and the JIRA work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing shipped work, with clear explanations of problems, constraints, and outcomes.
• Strong command of Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping.
• Proven experience designing bilingual Arabic/English products with correct RTL handling.
• Comfort with data, including the ability to analyze funnels, form hypotheses about user struggles, and design solutions.
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android platform conventions and build feasibility.
• Strong AI fluency to expedite deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marketplace, on-demand, delivery, or logistics sectors.
• Experience designing for field workers or blue-collar users, particularly on low-end devices and with inconsistent connections.
• Familiarity with lifecycle and CRM tools such as WebEngage, Braze, or CleverTap.
• Service design or operations-facing tooling experience.
• Motion design or front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS).

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a focus on Al Khobar. The role involves working within an agile development framework, where the impact of design work is visible in conversion and repeat-booking data within weeks.
