The Role of Material Engineer

Saudi Constructioneers is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Material Engineer to join its project team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and is central to ensuring that all construction materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and approved requirements, thereby supporting efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate construction materials in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams regarding material-related activities.
• Review material submittals, technical data sheets, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor material quality, inspections, and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Support procurement and site teams in selecting and approving suitable construction materials.
• Assist in resolving material-related technical issues during project execution.
• Maintain proper records for approved materials, inspections, and testing documentation.
• Prepare material reports and support project quality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Material Engineering or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in material engineering within the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and quality standards.
• Ability to review technical data sheets and compliance documentation effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Material Engineer will work as part of a dedicated project team, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure material quality and project success.
