Asas Makeen is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design for engineering projects.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the preparation and design of mechanical systems for various projects. This includes ensuring all designs comply with approved engineering codes, international standards, and specific project requirements. The role involves detailed engineering calculations and equipment selection for HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical designs for projects in accordance with approved engineering standards.
• Perform preliminary and detailed engineering calculations for HVAC, fire-fighting, and plumbing & drainage systems.
• Calculate cooling loads and select appropriate equipment.
• Design duct sizing and piping networks.
• Prepare execution drawings and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Review and approve mechanical materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC / UPC.
• Utilize specialized engineering software for design and modeling tasks.
• Coordinate with project teams and consultants to maintain design quality.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design for engineering projects.
• Previous experience in engineering consulting firms, real-estate development, or commercial projects is preferred.
