About the Opportunity

Jacobs (KSA) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the construction supervision of Hyperscale Data Center and Mission-Critical Infrastructure projects across all regions of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems adhere to project specifications and quality standards.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with critical design requirements and redundancy standards. This position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, capable of coordinating various disciplines and verifying work quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities throughout project execution.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor the installation and testing of chilled water systems, cooling plants, HVAC systems, CRAH units, CRAC units, fuel systems, plumbing services, fire protection systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with mission-critical design requirements and redundancy standards.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, ICT, structural, architectural, and commissioning disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities.
• Inspect completed works and verify compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within construction supervision for data centers or critical infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee complex mechanical system installations and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical design requirements and redundancy standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, with project responsibilities extending across various regions in Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on site to supervise construction activities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
