Mechanical Site Engineer

About the Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking a qualified Mechanical Site Engineer to join its contracting and construction team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supervising the installation of mechanical systems on site and ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, coordinating with MEP subcontractors, and ensuring all works adhere to approved drawings and specifications. The role requires active participation in site activities, quality assurance, and reporting on progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems on site.
• Ensure that all works comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to resolve interfaces, openings, and sleeves.
• Monitor MEP subcontractors’ progress, manpower, and material deliveries.
• Raise inspection requests and attend inspections with QA/QC personnel and the consultant.
• Review material submittals and support the preparation of RFIs and technical queries.
• Participate in pressure tests, flushing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily and weekly mechanical progress reports.
• Ensure safe work practices are maintained during all installation and testing activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role within the contracting and construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise mechanical system installations effectively.
• Strong understanding of approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
