Mechanical Inspector

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves ensuring that various mechanical installations comply with established project standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect installations of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, irrigation, and other mechanical equipment.
• Review and respond to mechanical Requests for Inspection (RFIs).
• Verify compliance of installations with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Witness and document pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, equipment start-up, and system testing procedures.
• Conduct detailed checks on pipework, ductwork, insulation, supports, equipment, fixtures, and connections.
• Identify non-compliant work and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes for mechanical systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection is essential.
• Demonstrated experience on large-scale mixed-use residential and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, and Saudi Building Code requirements.
• Previous experience in consultancy or construction supervision is preferred.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is mandatory.
