About the Role

Egis is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional with over 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection. The Mechanical Inspector will ensure that all mechanical systems, equipment, and installations meet high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Role Context

The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for on-site inspections, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with various teams to support project success and continuous improvement. This position is critical for maintaining quality and safety across mechanical installations within projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to verify quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of mechanical installations, including HVAC systems, piping networks, industrial machinery, plumbing systems, firefighting systems, gas systems, and fuel systems.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and potential issues with precision and clarity during inspections.
  • Prepare thorough and well-organized inspection reports, maintaining accurate records and documentation of all findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address mechanical issues and implement solutions.
  • Verify that corrective actions are executed properly and completed within established timelines.
  • Stay current with evolving industry standards, regulations, best practices, and local Saudi codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable regulations).
  • Participate actively in project meetings, providing technical expertise and insights to support project objectives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities and inspections.
  • Mentor and support junior inspection staff, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records and utilize inspection software and documentation tools efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive on-site inspections.
  • Proficiency in identifying and documenting defects and non-conformities.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and local Saudi codes (ASHRAE, NFPA).

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working as part of a dynamic site supervision team. The position is full-time.
