About Omrania and the Role
Omrania is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical installations within various projects.
Role Purpose
The Mechanical Inspector plays a critical role in verifying that all mechanical equipment, systems, and components adhere to project specifications and industry standards. This involves conducting thorough on-site inspections, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure effective resolution and timely implementation of corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical installations, including piping, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and potential issues during inspections.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve mechanical issues.
- Verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical inspection.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven track record in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel system inspections.
- Previous experience in engineering consultancies is preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and material specifications.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols, and industry compliance standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, and local Saudi codes).
- Skilled in using inspection, documentation, and reporting tools/software.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and the project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain quality standards.
Work Environment and Attributes
The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within high-pressure environments, ensuring consistent adherence to quality and safety standards across all site activities.
