Role Summary

The Medical Equipment Sterilization Technician is responsible for the thorough cleaning, maintenance, and sterilization of medical and surgical instruments. This role plays a vital part in preventing the spread of germs and infections, ensuring a safe environment for patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate surgical and medical instruments to eliminate pathogens.
• Prepare operating areas and set up equipment for various surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and protocols to protect patients from infection.
• Assemble medical equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct routine testing and quality control checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Manage equipment inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive sterilization records.
• Organize tools, sort mismatched instrument sets, and ensure timely availability for physicians.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of experience in a related field. This role is suitable for individuals looking to start their career in medical equipment sterilization or those with foundational experience.

Work Environment Details

The role is based entirely indoors (100%). The working schedule is 6 days per week, with 1 day off. Daily working hours are split into two shifts: from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 5 PM to 9 PM, including a 4-hour break from 1 PM to 5 PM.
