MEP Engineer

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MEP Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, coordinating, and managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems while adhering to local and international building standards.

Role Overview

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for managing complex projects from conception through completion, demonstrating strong technical expertise and exceptional organizational skills. This position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field, capable of addressing technical challenges and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing networks, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for MEP systems.
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural designs to ensure compatibility and optimal building performance.
• Analyze and resolve design conflicts and technical challenges through collaborative problem-solving.
• Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for MEP components and installations.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise MEP installations to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to facilitate effective project execution.
• Ensure all designs and documentation comply with Saudi building codes, regulations, and international standards.
• Maintain organized project files, documentation, and records for audit and reference purposes.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input on MEP-related matters.
• Analyze energy efficiency opportunities and recommend sustainable MEP solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as an MEP Engineer.
• Demonstrated strong technical expertise in MEP system design and management.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects efficiently from conception through completion.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools for MEP design.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals, on various commercial and residential projects.
