About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Buildings team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves contributing to the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for building projects. The role will initially focus on a major international project while also supporting other ongoing and future projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering design and technical coordination support across a portfolio of building projects.
• Perform design, calculation, and coordination of electrical installations.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines within a BIM-oriented environment.
• Ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of electrical building services projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary environments for international and/or complex building projects.

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge of the design and calculation of low-voltage electrical systems for buildings, including lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, earthing, lightning protection, cable containment, and photovoltaic installations.
• Proficiency in engineering design and calculation tools such as Excel-based spreadsheets, DIALux, Caneco BT, ETAP, PVsyst, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and Autodesk Revit within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Demonstrated international mobility, flexibility, autonomy, and technical rigor.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will join IDOM’s multidisciplinary Buildings team in KSA, working within a BIM-oriented environment. The role involves close collaboration with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines on a range of building projects.
