Vision Horizons Medical (VHM) is seeking a dedicated MRI Technician to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to providing specialized diagnostic imaging services within a professional medical environment.

Role Overview

The MRI Technician is responsible for performing complex tasks associated with the operation of high-field-strength magnets and related equipment to produce specialized radiographic images. This position involves direct patient interaction, assisting radiologists, and ensuring strict adherence to patient safety and privacy protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate high-field-strength magnets and associated equipment to produce specialized radiographic images of specific body parts.
• Position patients accurately for MR scans, utilizing immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
• Conduct thorough patient screening for MR safety prior to all procedures.
• Assist radiologists during the performance of various procedures.
• Perform other radiological procedures as required when not engaged in MRI duties.
• Initiate intravenous (** access and administer contrast media as directed and per established protocols.
• Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images, sequence exposures, and label them appropriately.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with necessary clerical functions.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to MRI equipment.
• Load and operate power injectors for the administration of contrast media.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Provide orientation and guidance for new technologists.
• Recognize and report abnormalities or irregularities observed in images.
• Address the psychological and physical needs of patients undergoing MR procedures.
• Uphold the integrity and privacy of all patient information, strictly adhering to non-disclosure policies.
• Contribute to the education and training of staff members.
• Assist radiologists in the development of new protocols and MR imaging techniques.
• Ensure efficient and accurate coordination within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the primary responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in MRI technology or a related radiological field.
• Demonstrated capability in operating high-field-strength magnets and associated imaging equipment.
• Proficiency in patient positioning, safety screening, and the administration of contrast media.
• Strong attention to detail for image quality evaluation and accurate record-keeping.

Work Environment and Standards

This is a full-time position requiring commitment to scheduled duty hours, typically 8 consecutive hours. The MRI Technician will operate within a framework that adheres to internationally recognized Joint Commission International (JCI) guidelines, prioritizing patient safety and the confidentiality of all patient information.
