About the Role: Murex Technical Lead

TawanTech is seeking a Murex Technical Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This is a full-time position for a professional with 5-10 years of experience, responsible for the comprehensive technical management of the Murex MX3 platform.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Murex Technical Lead plays a central role in bridging treasury business requirements with robust and scalable technology solutions. This position encompasses the architecture, development, configuration, integration, and environment management of the Murex MX3 platform, leading technical teams, automation initiatives, and enterprise integrations.

Technical Architecture and Optimization

This role involves leading the technical architecture and development efforts for the Murex platform. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and overseeing MxML and Mx3 configuration.
• Managing integrations with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), payment hubs, and core banking systems.
• Optimizing real-time and End-of-Day (EOD) batch processing, automation, and overall system performance.

Delivery, Automation, and Environment Management

The Murex Technical Lead drives technical delivery across various financial instruments and processes, focusing on efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities in this area include:

• Driving technical delivery for Front-to-Back-to-Risk functions, including IRD, FXMM, Fixed Income, and Commodities.
• Implementing DevOps practices, Onyx/MxTest, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Managing Murex environments, release cycles, and deployment processes.

Team Leadership and Production Support

A core aspect of this role is providing leadership and ensuring operational stability. The lead will:

• Lead and mentor Murex developers and engineers.
• Establish engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with business, risk teams, and external partners.
• Lead the resolution of critical production issues.
• Provide support for Oracle/Sybase databases, UNIX/Linux operating systems, Shell/Perl scripting, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.

Required Experience and Technical Skills

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Murex MX3 environments. Essential technical skills and experience include:

• Demonstrated expertise in Murex MX3 platform architecture, development, and configuration.
• Proficiency in MxML and Murex integration methodologies.
• Experience with Oracle/Sybase, UNIX/Linux, and scripting languages such as Shell or Perl.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning principles.
