Network Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Artificial Intelligence Global Company (AIGC) is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the design, implementation, configuration, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and IT infrastructure for AIGC, its clients, and various projects. The position supports enterprise network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure monitoring across on-premises, cloud, and project environments.

The Network Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate closely with IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Application, and Project Delivery teams to ensure infrastructure environments are secure, reliable, scalable, highly available, and aligned with business and project requirements. The role also supports the planning and deployment of Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, contributing to infrastructure documentation, operational readiness, and disaster recovery activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Manage VLANs, trunking, STP, routing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP services.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization, and troubleshoot connectivity and configuration issues.
• Configure and administer next-generation firewalls (NGFW), implementing and maintaining firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and access controls.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware, supporting VM provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Maintain and monitor storage infrastructure, configure backup and recovery solutions, and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Support the deployment and administration of infrastructure on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), including networking, compute, storage, and security services.
• Monitor infrastructure health and availability using monitoring tools, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement infrastructure security controls, support vulnerability assessment and patch management, and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Support infrastructure activities throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements review, sizing, installation, configuration, and handover.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in network and IT infrastructure engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with LAN/WAN network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network protocols and services (VLANs, STP, routing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Experience with next-generation firewalls (NGFW) and network security concepts (VPNs, IPS/IDS, network segmentation).
• Strong background in Windows and Linux server administration, including Active Directory and related services.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware.
• Knowledge of storage infrastructure, backup and recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud connectivity.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position primarily based in office, datacenter, or project sites. Occasional travel to project sites and data centers may be required. The role may involve work outside normal business hours for planned maintenance, upgrades, emergency incidents, or disaster recovery activities. Participation in an on-call or emergency support rotation may also be required.
