About the Role

Sukna Capital, a Saudi-based investment company, is seeking a Network & IT Support Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, hands-on position is designed for a proactive individual with 0-1 years of experience who will take ownership of our internal IT systems, ensuring their security, stability, and efficiency.

Role Context and Scope

The specialist will be responsible for maintaining our small-scale IT infrastructure, providing essential support for both the server room operations and the day-to-day IT needs of employees. While working closely with the IT Manager and external service providers when necessary, the majority of tasks will be performed independently in-house.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the Windows Server environment, including regular updates, user management, and system security.
• Administer and support Active Directory for account setup, access control, and group policies.
• Manage backup routines using an immutable backup setup and perform regular recovery tests to ensure data protection.
• Support and manage Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Handle user provisioning, licensing, and access policies using Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure AD.
• Troubleshoot Office 365 issues and provide basic training and support to employees as needed.
• Maintain and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN tunnels.
• Monitor and maintain the physical server room setup, encompassing UPS, cooling, rack equipment, and cabling.
• Coordinate with external vendors for firmware upgrades or technical escalations when necessary.
• Provide general IT support to staff, covering laptop setup, troubleshooting, software installation, and hardware purchasing.
• Manage and support CCTV systems, IP telephony (Grandstream PBX), and access control devices (BioStar).
• Assist in ensuring basic IT security hygiene and adherence to internal data protection guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0-1 years of professional experience in a relevant IT support or network administration role.

Technical Expertise and Platforms

Candidates should possess solid hands-on experience with the following:

• Microsoft 365, including user management, licensing, Exchange Online, and Teams.
• Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Networking fundamentals: firewalls, switches, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Backup systems and troubleshooting procedures.
• Familiarity with IP telephony, CCTV, and access control hardware.
• Experience with platforms such as Aruba, Fortinet, or Grandstream.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Associate, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are highly valued.
