About the Role

Cornerstone Global Partners (CGP Group) is supporting a well-established contractor in the infrastructure sector to appoint an Operations Director. This newly created senior leadership position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the CEO. The role provides comprehensive operational oversight across all live projects and business lines, operating on a full-time basis.

Role Purpose and Context

The Operations Director will serve as the single point of operational oversight, bridging executive strategy with day-to-day project delivery. This involves ensuring consistent governance, performance, and accountability across a diverse portfolio of large-scale infrastructure programs, including roads, highways, asphalt production, and facilities/operations & maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own operational delivery across all active projects, encompassing EPC, asphalt production, and facilities/O&M business lines.
• Act as the single point of accountability to the CEO for project performance, covering cost, schedule, quality, and HSE standards.
• Build and strengthen the operational structure and reporting lines between the head office and site leadership teams.
• Standardize project controls, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms across a multi-project portfolio.
• Represent the company operationally with clients, authorities, and joint venture partners on major programs.
• Identify and resolve cross-project risks, resource conflicts, and delivery bottlenecks to maintain project momentum.
• Support business development and bid teams by providing essential operational input on major pursuits.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience, with an extensive career built within contracting organizations. A direct contractor background is essential, not consultancy or design.
• Deep experience in horizontal infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, utilities, and civil structures.
• Demonstrated track record of leading multi-project portfolios, ideally within Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
• Experience on mega-scale programs is strongly preferred.
