About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for Home Care Services to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the delivery of superior customer service and efficient administrative support within our home health care operations. The coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating patient services and maintaining operational excellence.

Role Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the fast and accurate processing of home health care services, effective communication, and seamless coordination with various departments. This role involves direct patient contact to gather necessary data for registration and admission into the Hospital Information System (HIS), ensuring a smooth and compassionate patient journey from initial contact through to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure superior quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for every patient served at NMC.
  • Register home health care patient information completely and accurately in both English and Arabic within the HIS system.
  • Verify patient identity before creating patient files, processing medical record requests, and issuing invoices.
  • Handle patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes in HIS, specifically for home care registration.
  • Confirm pre-approval and cash deposits for any elective procedures conducted at home.
  • Collect and submit cash to the general cashier daily or at the end of the work shift.
  • Coordinate with claims and billing departments to streamline administrative processes and prevent financial discrepancies.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients and provide non-medical instructions as needed.
  • Attend to telephone inquiries and interact effectively with customers.
  • Maintain strict patient information confidentiality and uphold Patient Rights.
  • Enhance the patient experience through dedicated customer care, respect, compassion, and dignity.

Administrative and Operational Duties

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Home Health Care Department, its staff, patients, and other visitors.
  • Coordinate with Department Heads and Supervisors regarding patient services issues and concerns.
  • Offer support and assistance to patients with inquiries or complaints.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for quick and easy access to documents.
  • Complete daily tasks and assignments, processing large volumes of work associated with departmental operations.
  • Ensure the movement team is prepared and ready for their duties.
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned by the Department Head or Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong background in patient coordination or administrative support within a healthcare setting. A proven ability to manage high volumes of work, maintain confidentiality, and deliver exceptional customer service is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet and exceed expectations of both internal and external customers, adhering to all organizational and departmental standards for quality performance. This includes demonstrating a strong commitment to confidentiality, participating in quality improvement programs as directed, and building positive relationships based on respect. A helpful, positive attitude and effective communication with peers, staff, and visitors are required. Compliance with the Home Health Care dress code is also mandatory.
