Performance Monitoring Senior Specialist

About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a Performance Monitoring Senior Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves operating with minimal supervision to prepare complex, specialized, or ad-hoc reports within the performance monitoring field. The specialist will contribute to achieving milestones and operational targets within the assigned functional area.

Role Purpose and Scope

This position is responsible for undertaking operational activities related to organizational performance, including preparing required reports using various reporting systems and following up on corrective actions. The role requires adherence to established guidelines and procedures while contributing to the overall performance management framework of the Authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and stay informed on international best practices for data reporting, identifying latest trends and methodologies.
• Develop and update the reporting framework to ensure standardized and consistent reporting across the organization.
• Update organizational performance management reporting tools for monitoring purposes.
• Collect and consolidate data from all functions periodically, ensuring correctness and integrity for performance monitoring and reporting.
• Control reporting systems such as Tableau and S+.
• Review ZATCA’s KPIs dashboard to report results and identify gaps.
• Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for internal (*, Board of Directors, other functions) and external (*, Ministry of Finance, ADAA, Royal Court) stakeholders, highlighting strategy performance, achieved results, and deviations.
• Conduct meetings with senior leadership and concerned external stakeholders to discuss results and recommendations.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective and remedial actions.
• Prepare awareness materials and conduct workshops to enhance capabilities in organizational performance.

Organizational and Operational Support

• Adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
• Assist in resolving escalated problems and provide support to junior team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel for proper resolution.
• Perform other duties as requested.

People Management and Development

• Train junior staff on various job activities to facilitate knowledge transfer, where applicable.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates or junior staff.
• Support junior staff or direct reports in executing their duties according to established policies and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role requires a professional capable of operating with minimal supervision and contributing to the completion of operational targets.
