About the Role

Armada International Corporation is seeking a Planner Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring project activities are completed efficiently and within established timelines and budgets. The Planner Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, coordinating with various teams, and providing critical progress analysis.

Role Overview

The Planner Engineer plays a key role in project execution by managing scheduling and progress reporting. This involves defining project parameters, tracking actual progress against plans, and identifying potential delays or inefficiencies. The position requires close collaboration with project teams and regular communication with management and clients to ensure all stakeholders are informed of project status and potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Define project activities, durations, dependencies, and identify the critical path.
  • Update schedules regularly to reflect actual progress and forecast completion dates.
  • Analyze variances between planned and actual progress, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and resource histograms.
  • Present schedule updates and performance reports to management and clients.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material requirements in alignment with the project schedule.
  • Monitor resource productivity and adjust plans to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions on schedule-related issues.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis when required.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant planning or scheduling role. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is required. A strong understanding of project scheduling principles, critical path analysis, and progress reporting is essential for this position.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within Armada International Corporation. The role involves working closely with various project teams and stakeholders in a dynamic project environment.
