Planner

About the Role

Akkodis is seeking a Planner with 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure and construction projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for major developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules, including baseline and recovery schedules.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Track project progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, risks, and critical activities.
• Perform critical path analysis and support the preparation of mitigation and recovery plans.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and progress curves.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractor teams to collect progress information.
• Monitor interfaces and dependencies between multiple work packages.
• Support delay analysis, extension-of-time assessments, and change-control activities.
• Participate in progress meetings and communicate schedule risks to the project management team.
• Ensure that schedules reflect actual site constraints, resource requirements, and project priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of planning experience in infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6; knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology, and progress measurement.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Previous experience on Saudi giga-projects or large infrastructure developments is preferred.
• PMP, PMI-SP, or an equivalent planning certification would be an advantage.
