About Parsons Corporation

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Planning Engineer (Saudi National) to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves contributing to complex, multi-disciplinary projects by ensuring on-time delivery through expert schedule management and analysis.

The Role of Planning Engineer

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for executing and maintaining integrated project schedules and controlling baselines. This position requires performing critical path and what-if analyses to provide clear schedule insights, directly supporting project success and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and maintain Level 1–4 schedules and updates to the Integrated Master Schedule using Primavera P6.
  • Establish robust logic, calendars, and coding structures, ensuring alignment of interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases.
  • Control schedule baselines, perform regular updates, measure progress, and conduct variance and trend analysis.
  • Conduct critical and near-critical path analysis, run what-if scenarios, and recommend recovery or acceleration strategies.
  • Prepare resource-loaded schedules, perform resource analysis and leveling, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate resolutions with discipline leads.
  • Support schedule risk assessments, document assumptions, quantify potential impacts, and track mitigation efforts.
  • Prepare and support time impact analyses for approved changes and identified delays, contributing to claims documentation as needed.
  • Produce clear dashboards and reports for project leadership and clients, facilitating schedule reviews and look-ahead planning.
  • Mentor junior planners and support continuous improvement of planning tools, templates, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates must be Saudi Nationals.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling roles.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules.
