Planning Engineer

About the Role

NSH Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer Mechanical to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling project progress within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, preferably gained within an EPC or contracting company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work programs, and project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify any delays or deviations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams to track project activities.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements in line with project schedules.
• Prepare weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules.
• Perform progress analysis and identify critical path activities.
• Prepare S-curves, progress curves, and manpower histograms.
• Identify potential project delays and recommend corrective and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Maintain project planning documentation and submit progress reports to management and clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer.
• Strong background in Oil & Gas projects.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prior experience in an EPC or contracting company is preferred.
