The Role of Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Planning Engineer to join our team. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting within the construction sector. The selected candidate will independently manage mid-to-large scale projects, playing a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Coordinate with project teams to establish work breakdown structures (WBS), project timelines, and resource allocation plans.
• Track project progress, analyze delays, and prepare recovery plans where required.
• Prepare periodic planning reports, dashboards, KPIs, and progress presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Perform schedule analysis, resource loading, Earned Value Management (EVM), and schedule risk assessments.
• Review project contracts and support claims and extension of time (EOT) evaluations in line with FIDIC conditions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning-related recommendations to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Health care experience is a mandatory requirement for this role.
• A consultant background or experience is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in our offices in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
