About Mace and the Role

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to enhance potential in projects and people. We are seeking a Planning Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to delivering complex projects within a major mixed-use development, aligning with Mace's values and commitment to high-calibre project management.

Project Context

This opportunity involves a significant mixed-use development in Riyadh, which includes over 200 projects. These projects span cultural and heritage assets, F&B, retail, hotels, commercial buildings, and educational facilities. Mace is currently providing programme management for this extensive development and is looking for experienced professionals to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to validate real-time progress and schedule accuracy.
  • Review and analyse schedules, including critical paths, float, and change documentation.
  • Assess mitigation schedules, providing independent analysis and recommendations.
  • Monitor progress against baseline programmes, identifying delays and reporting performance.
  • Evaluate supporting data (*, procurement, quality) to inform schedule health.
  • Prepare monthly planning reports highlighting risks, trends, and impacts on progress.
  • Track project performance, identifying trends and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and assess project interfaces that may impact delivery.
  • Collaborate with PMCs and design consultants to ensure accurate productivity outputs.
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (Level 3 to Level 2).
  • Ensure alignment with PMO standards, reviewing dashboards and planning procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely information flow.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant degree qualification.
  • Professional membership (or working towards) PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience delivering residential and/or infrastructure projects within a PMO environment.
  • Demonstrated strong expertise in project controls, including planning/scheduling and earned value management (EVM).

The Planning Manager will work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition. This includes sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

Immigration and Client Approval

Candidates must meet the necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, relevant work experience on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business is required for immigration and client approval processes.
