Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is seeking a Planning Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to our operations, focusing on construction project management within a dynamic environment.

The Role of Planning Manager

As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the master program for construction projects, ensuring efficient execution while adhering to financial and time constraints. This role involves managing progress reporting and project controls, playing a key part in the successful delivery of construction initiatives. You will collaborate with various teams to implement robust planning strategies that align with organizational goals, and provide strategic oversight of project performance, utilizing data-driven insights to guide decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the master program for construction projects, ensuring timelines are met and resources are allocated efficiently to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Oversee progress reporting, utilizing project management software to track milestones and deliverables while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Implement project controls to monitor project performance, identifying variances and developing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives and facilitating continuous improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, clearly communicating project status, risks, and proposed solutions to enhance decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in project planning sessions, fostering collaboration and ensuring that all relevant perspectives are considered in the planning process.
  • Conduct risk assessments for ongoing projects, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and training to enhance their project management skills and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in construction project management, ensuring the firm remains competitive and compliant with regulations.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant planning or project management role, preferably within the construction sector. The position requires proficiency in project management software, strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Experience in risk assessment and developing mitigation strategies is also essential.
