About the Role

FNRCO is seeking a dedicated POS & PSD Maintenance Technician to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves carrying out essential preventive and corrective maintenance activities for third rail and track systems. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in relevant maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with stringent safety rules and established maintenance plans.

Key Maintenance Duties

The primary responsibilities for this role include executing comprehensive maintenance tasks and ensuring operational integrity:

• Perform all levels of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for third rail and track systems, adhering to approved Maintenance Plans and implemented safety rules and processes.
• Accurately log all completed maintenance activities within the Maintenance Management System.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify surface defects, change consumable items, perform minor repairs, and carry out technical cleaning of all third rail and track systems.
• Follow appropriate and approved maintenance procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with requirements and safe systems of work.
• Report any unidentified maintenance issues and collaborate effectively with colleagues in Operations departments.
• Assist Supervisors and other technical support staff in implementing asset configuration changes.

Operational Standards and Equipment

The technician is also responsible for maintaining high operational standards and managing equipment effectively:

• Ensure the use of appropriate, certified, and calibrated tools and equipment for all works, including inspections.
• Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records for third rail and track systems, tools, and work accomplished using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Perform shift and emergency duties as required, and drive automotive equipment to work sites when necessary.
• Execute duties as instructed by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.

Safety Critical Duties

This role includes critical safety responsibilities essential for maintaining a safe system of work within the rail environment:

• Manage safe system of work processes, including meeting tight maintenance schedules and implementing the Permit to Work process.
• Operate points locally and communicate effectively with Signalers, Line Controllers, and electrical control operators.
• Communicate with personnel responsible for Track Possessions, Worksites, or movements of rail vehicles within a Possession.
• Protect rail vehicles stopped by accidents, failures, obstructions, or other exceptional incidents.
• Control the movement of rail vehicles and work as a Pilotman during single line working or emergencies.
• Check that goods are properly and safely loaded.
• Install, maintain, and inspect track, components, or structures supporting the permanent way.
• Install and commission new infrastructure.
• Check settings and calibrations on On-Track Machines (OTM) prior to use and operate OTMs that alter the track profile.
• Operate vehicles on the permanent way for maintenance, including rail, road/rail, road wheeled, or tracked vehicles.
• Protect people working on or near the track and within possessions.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should meet the following experience criteria:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within rail or track systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance activities in a safety-critical environment.
