About the Predoctoral Research Fellow Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Predoctoral Research Fellow for a full-time position. This role is designed for individuals participating in a structured doctoral research training program, focusing on supporting the planning, execution, and dissemination of biomedical research activities.

Program Context and Contribution

The Predoctoral Research Fellow will operate under the direct supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI), contributing to various scientific research projects. This position is integral to fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and ethical research conduct within the institution, while also supporting the fellow's doctoral research journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experimental studies under PI supervision, covering areas such as molecular biology, cell biology, genomics, or translational research.
• Perform a range of laboratory procedures, including cell culture, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry, sequencing workflows, and imaging techniques.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and biological samples, ensuring strict compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and institutional biosafety standards.
• Contribute to integrative analyses, such as multi-omics, clinical datasets, and translational pipelines.
• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and contribute to hypothesis generation and study design.
• Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, protocol development, and regulatory documentation as applicable.
• Adhere to all institutional policies concerning research ethics, biosafety, and data governance.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams across King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre and its partner institutions.
• Follow all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences.
• A minimum of three (3) years of related experience is essential for this role.
