Principal Stakeholder Architect

About the Role

WSP is seeking a Principal Stakeholder Architect to manage architectural stakeholder engagement and coordination for significant infrastructure, aviation, transport, and mixed-use development projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The Principal Stakeholder Architect will serve as the primary architectural point of contact between clients, authorities, operators, design teams, contractors, and other key project stakeholders. The role ensures that stakeholder requirements, design intent, and project delivery objectives are consistently aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with all stakeholders, authorities, consultants, and contractors on project-related documents, including NOCs, permits, design and construction approvals, and handover requirements.
• Prepare reports, manuals, and guideline documents related to specific handover and stakeholder issues as required by the client.
• Attend project meetings, track and record required actions from stakeholders, and follow up on progress.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders and authorities to facilitate a smooth handover of assets upon project completion.
• Provide handover and stakeholder input for weekly and monthly reports.
• Inform the Team Leader of any potential delays in project completion or milestones.
• Provide on-site direction and collaborate with the PMC team to complete handover tasks.
• Check and measure performed work, record progress, and assist the Team Leader in displaying progress against programmed work.
• Ensure the correctness and completeness of 'As-Built' drawings, O&M manuals, and all related authority checklists and documents.
• Lead and mentor the KSA AOR team, support strategic work-winning efforts, strengthen client relationships, and secure new project opportunities.
• Manage resourcing and project deliverables across multiple projects in KSA, coordinating with other WSP offices to deliver compliant, high-quality, and commercially successful projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in stakeholder management positions on similar construction projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• A deep understanding of governmental processes required to obtain NOCs, permits, and authority approvals across various regions in KSA.
