The Role of Architect

AECOM is seeking an Architect to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience. The Architect will be responsible for ensuring architectural design compliance, coordinating various building elements, and developing solutions for complex challenges, particularly within entertainment venues and specialized fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess architectural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical proposals, and interface details for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
• Coordinate and integrate architectural elements such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, and joinery with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, show, and ride systems to ensure seamless design execution and buildability.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, spatial clashes, and site constraints; coordinate technical clarifications and develop buildable solutions in collaboration with specialists and consultants.
• Monitor all installations for dimensional accuracy, workmanship quality, accessibility compliance, and adherence to approved architectural details and specifications.
• Review material samples and mock-ups for architectural compliance, aesthetic quality, and successful integration with adjoining works and finishes.
• Support comprehensive inspections, snagging activities, corrective actions, and verification of completed works in coordination with quality assurance and project management teams.
• Review and validate architectural as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness; support final handover procedures and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations on complex architectural challenges, particularly within entertainment venues, immersive environments, and specialized fit-out projects.

Required Experience

• Candidates must have over 10 years of relevant experience in architecture.
