The Role of Procurement Officer

MEMF ITS is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in procurement, focusing on automation products, smart meters, and related materials. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the entire procurement lifecycle, ensuring efficient and compliant acquisition processes that support the company's operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for automation products, smart meters, and related materials.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with both local and international suppliers to achieve optimal value, quality, and delivery terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and strategic partners.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring full compliance with company procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and product quality.
• Coordinate effectively with engineering, sales, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement and project support.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
• Ensure inventory levels are optimized to effectively support business operations.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within a relevant industry such as utilities or technology solutions. A strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and negotiation tactics is essential. The ability to coordinate with various internal departments and maintain meticulous records is also required.
