Procurement Specialist

About the Role

Wood (KSA) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position that involves frequent site visits. The specialist will be responsible for reviewing and validating procurement processes and documentation, ensuring efficient integration with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess the EPCM contractor’s procurement plans, material requisitions, and procurement schedules.
• Support the technical evaluation of vendor proposals, including bid tabulations (TBE), vendor selection processes, and commercial bid evaluations (CBE).
• Review and validate purchase orders (POs), vendor documentation, logistics strategies, and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests (FATs), vendor inspections, and expediting activities.
• Support the management of long-lead items, equipment tracking, and resolution of vendor-related issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate integration of vendor data into project deliverables.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in procurement.
• Strong understanding of key contracting principles, supported by relevant industry experience and exposure.
• Good understanding of contract terms, procurement principles, and contracting processes.
• Experience within at least one of the following sectors: Mining, Oil & Gas, EPC, or EPCM environments.

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
• Solid awareness of corporate and project procedures, as well as client contract structures and policies.

Work Location

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires frequent visits to various project sites.
