Production Engineer

About the Role

Al Watania For Industries is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves planning, executing, and improving daily production operations to meet targets for output, quality, cost, and safety. The position requires 2-5 years of experience, specifically with hands-on experience in a Plastic, Can Making (Metal/Steel), or Paper Product factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to achieve output and delivery targets.
• Monitor production lines and machine performance, addressing technical and process issues promptly.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and scrap, and lower production costs.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, downtime, yield, scrap rate, and productivity.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team on preventive maintenance and rapid breakdown recovery.
• Work with the Quality team to ensure products comply with specifications and customer requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production problems.
• Support new product trials, line setups, changeovers, and machine commissioning.
• Train and guide operators and technicians on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on the shop floor.
• Prepare shift reports, production records, and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a Production Engineer.
• Hands-on experience in a Plastic, Can Making (Metal/Steel), or Paper Product factory is required.
• Willingness to work in shifts when required.
